From November 6th to 9th, 2024, academic leaders from Lasallian educational higher institutions across Central and South America converged in Bogotá and Yopal to strengthen their partnership and chart a common course toward academic excellence. Hosted by La Salle University, Colombia, this gathering brought together rectors, general directors, and vice-rectors from various nations. Over four days, they shared experiences and forged strategic agreements that will reshape the future of Lasallian collaboration.
Participants tackled critical issues such as educational innovation, internationalization, research, and sustainability. They agreed on the importance of joining forces to meet the challenges of the 21st century and deliver high-quality education to future generations.
A key outcome of the meeting was a commitment to strengthen the network of Lasallian universities, fostering academic exchange, collaborative research, and educational innovation. Another significant focus was internationalization. Rectors agreed to enhance student and faculty mobility programs and establish partnerships with universities worldwide. Additionally, they will promote the formation of international research networks to address global challenges.
