The Universidad de La Salle hosted the Latin American and Caribbean Conference for the Internationalization of Higher Education (LACHEC), organized by the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN), the Colombian Network for Internationalization (RCI), and the Colombia Challenge Your Knowledge Association. The conference was held from August 13 to 15, 2024, at the Chapinero campus in Bogotá. The event focused on exploring "Possible Scenarios" in the internationalization of Higher Education. LACHEC serves as a platform for international dialogue and interaction aimed at building new knowledge on internationalization processes in Higher Education Institutions. It brought together over 300 internationalization experts representing public and private universities from 17 countries.
During the conference, international experts delivered presentations on key topics such as artificial intelligence in education, sustainability, and regional cooperation. Participants also took part in workshops and panels designed to share best practices and strengthen the skills of academic leaders committed to internationalization in higher education institutions.
